The unique & patented geared operating mechanism is fully engaged at all times with the swing arm when the leg irons is either being opened or closed. There is no need for the leg irons to be double locked to ensure officer safety. The patented cam locking system keys from both sides. Model 950 provides a 10% greater maximum and smaller minimum insider perimeter than the standard leg iron (6.6 inches to 11.15 inches). The Gotcha model 950 is constructed of stainless steel including the springs. This leg irons uses the  three-inch Gotcha handcuff cylinder key, which is difficult to hide and duplicate.
